While the Walnut Room in RiNo is a live-music venue first and a pizza place second, the Broadway contingent—called the Walnut Room Pizzeria—is a pizza joint first and a music spot second.

Go to this small, year-old shop, located on the corner of Broadway and West Ellsworth Avenue, for the pies: thin-crusted offerings with a collection of toppings. Make your own, or trust in the kitchen’s combos, especially the kicky Mean Green Supreme (pesto, green peppers, green olives, jalapeños, and fresh garlic) and the more classic Mediterranean (garlic-herb oil, feta, baby spinach, artichoke hearts, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella). Either way, you’ll be impressed with the way the cracker-like crust holds up to the fixings.

Don’t Miss: Both locations of the Walnut Room offer a roster of daily specials. Some of my favorites: On Mondays kids eat free; $5 weekday lunch specials; and killer happy hours.
