The show at Ocean Prime begins behind the bar with a splash of gin and a squeeze of lime. A couple of refreshing sips in, the beaming hostess appears: Our table is ready. She escorts us up the wooden staircase, which floats over silken lanterns designed to look like sea anemones, and past a glassed-in, 432-bottle wine cellar. Around the corner is table 50.

The hostess smiles as she opens the door to this jewel box: a glass-enclosed, private dining room for eight that hovers conspicuously above the corner of 15th and Larimer streets. Having nabbed the restaurant’s most coveted table, we’re on display. And so is Denver—our glassy perch affords an unparalleled view of Larimer Street and the downtown bustle. The vista only gets better when our server slides the windows open, filling the room with sweet spring air.

“We wanted to create the table in Denver,” says David Miller, executive vice president of Ocean Prime. “That’s why we made all four walls glass.”

While the Denver location is the eighth of its kind to open across the country, no two Ocean Primes are alike. General manager Zach Montgomery lets it slip that table 50 is the “coolest table in the company,” and that it’s been in demand since the spot opened in January. That’s your cue: Gather a group of eight and book this hot seat before summer turns to fall. 1465 Larimer St., 303-825-3663, ocean-prime.com
