You may live too far from your workplace to bike to the office, but with a little more effort (and a lot less gas money), many Denverites could easily ditch the whip in favor of two-wheel travel. Back in March, 5280 senior editor Patrick Doyle argued the case for bicycle commuting (which earned him props from BikeDenver). And in honor of National Bike to Work Month, the Denver Post offers tips on how to transition into a cycling commuter, including leaving early to avoid working up a hurried sweat, and keeping a change of clothes and shoes at the office.

Boulderites will have even fewer excuses not to ride to work once the city’s B-cycle program launches this week. And if you’re ready to commit, or are a longtime commuter with a bike or two to hand down, the Boulder Bike Swap will be resurrected this Sunday (Daily Camera).
