This Sunday, Vesta Dipping Grill is offering a special gluten-free/celiac safe rosé wine dinner.

The five-course menu includes potato gnocchi, baked goat cheese, and Colorado bass. It’s a rare fine-dining opportunity for those suffering from serious allergies, which can make eating out difficult due to the risk of cross-contamination. Call the restaurant to make reservations for one of two seatings (6 and 6:15 p.m.).

Vesta isn’t the only local spot working to accommodate the growing ranks of gluten-intolerant diners. Some of my favorite places around town to find good gluten-free eats include Tamayo, Root Down, Bittersweet, Encore on Colfax, WaterCourse Foods, Steuben’s, and Colterra (which has a stand-alone gluten-free menu that is almost as large as the main one).

Tip: For regular updates on gluten-free restaurants in Colorado, check out Gluten Free Grades. In other news, a label was released last week that will help make Celiac sufferers confident the products they’re buying are certified safe.
