Street tacos are having their moment, and the latest Denver addition is Odelay Tacos, which opened on East Colfax Avenue in May. Located in the old Sengers on the Fax, the brightly painted eatery shares space with 3014.

The simple, California-style eats are inexpensive ($1.99 per taco) and come with a variety of salsas—the verde, a mildly spicy purée of jalapeño and avocado, is the most successful. Best bets are Odelay’s grilled chicken thigh tacos (served with a sprinkling of white onion and cilantro) or the nutty tempeh version (yes, really) with avocado slices. Pull the meal together with an ice-cold Negra Modelo or a freshly muddled margarita.

Don’t Miss: Order Odelay’s chips and guacamole for a basket of warm, deep-fried flour tortilla triangles and freshly mashed avocado. The app lives up to the $4.99 price tag.
