So, you’ve always wanted to be a park ranger. Turns out you can, if you sport a helmet. The ever-exploding bicycling population in Colorado has reached into the parks and trails surrounding the metro area. In an effort to demonstrate polite and legal cycling, BikeDenver has paired with Denver Parks and Recreation to find a rank of bicycle rangers to patrol populated cycling areas, and they want 45 of you to help.

Your bike doesn’t need flashing lights and you won’t be issued a badge (not like this), but you do get a jersey (your volunteer time will likely pay for the new threads). The goal is for rangers to answer questions and educate people on the right ways to ride. Fill out the application form before the April 18 deadline and see if you have the stuff. You were going to ride your bike around town all summer anyway.
