President Barack Obama will make another swing through Colorado this weekend, this time at the University of Colorado, where he’ll give a speech on the Boulder campus’ Norlin Quad. Obama last visited CU in April, when he discussed spiraling student-loan interest rates.

The president has been busy in the Centennial State, which is considered among the most dynamic battlegrounds for November’s presidential election. Obama was in Fort Collins on Tuesday and spoke to a crowd of roughly 13,000 people at Colorado State University. At that event, he encouraged students to register to vote. Four years ago, voters between the ages of 18 and 29 favored Obama over the then-Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, nearly two-to-one.

Obama’s visit this weekend is an official campaign event and will begin sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The speech is part of his “Road to Charlotte” tour leading up to next week’s Democratic National Convention. Tickets are free (first-come, first-serve) at numerous locations throughout Boulder County.
