Colorado’s getting a one-two campaign punch Thursday with news that both President Barack Obama and Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will visit the Centennial State. Obama is visiting Boulder—his third trip to the city this year—while Ryan heads to Greeley.

The president and his challenger, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, are running neck-and-neck in Colorado in the days leading up to next week’s election. Colorado’s Secretary of State’s office reported this week that Republicans have a slight early voting edge over Democrats. About 370,990 Republicans have cast their ballots, in comparison to roughly 343,720 Democrats. Meanwhile, about 241,000 unaffiliated Coloradans have voted.
