Broncos season is rolling, and although the antics on the field are entertaining, we’re also impressed by what’s going on in the Sports Authority spectator suites. For every home game, Denver-based Epicurean Culinary Group caters for about 145 suites, dishing out up to 4,000 servings. Normally, leftovers would go into the trash. Not on Epicurean CEO Larry DiPasquale’s watch. For the third year, DiPasquale and Epicurean are partnering with Denver nonprofit We Don’t Waste to ensure that untouched food items get delivered to one of 44 local agencies for the needy. This year’s well-attended home opener (thanks Peyton!) provided more than 6,000 servings to help feed the hungry. “Is it a common practice? No,” DiPasquale says. “But we’re trying to spread the word.”
