It’s finally happening: The Über Sausage‘s LoHi location opens tomorrow at 8 a.m. The gourmet sausage shop, the original of which is at Colfax and Detroit, has taken over the former home of Living the Sweet Life. Yep, that’s right next door to Masterpiece Deli—and just down the way from Ale House at Amato’s and Central Bistro and Bar. This stretch of Central Street is suddenly awash in lunchtime offerings.

Über’s LoHi menu is flush with crisp salads, additional sandwiches (don’t miss the grass-fed Überburger) and…drumroll…breakfast. In addition to a classic egg sandwich, look for wraps like the Southwest which—aside from the tater tots–eats like a lighter version of huevos rancheros. Just as good is the waffle Benny: a savory waffle topped with scrambled eggs, hollandaise, grilled tomato, bacon, and avocado. If I hadn’t been tasting multiple dishes, I would have eaten the whole thing.

Partners Brad Arguello, Henry DeMatteis, Alex Gschwend, and Marco Macchiaroli have also secured a liquor license: Denver Beer Co. and Hofbräuhaus are on tap, and there’s a selection of canned beer and the Infinite Monkey Theorem wines. Look for bottomless mimosas on the weekends.

Bonus: Über is already at work on a third location. This one will be the largest yet with—hopefully—a rooftop patio and an emphasis on a beer garden vibe.
