August 16–17 Bristol Brewing’s New Digs
Bristol Brewing celebrates the opening of its new headquarters at Ivywild School in Colorado Springs this weekend. In addition to the microbrewery, the 2.5-acre former elementary school campus also houses The Meat Locker, a new charcuterie and deli; The Old School Bakery; The Principal’s Office coffee shop and bar; and Hunt and Gather, a small local meat and produce market.

August 17 Empire Americana
Get a dose of local folk, country, and rock bands at this first-time, one-day music festival just 45 minutes from Denver. Tickets: $15.

August 19–25 USA Pro Cycling Challenge
In case you’ve been living in a storm shelter for the past week: Colorado’s biggest bike race begins in Aspen and finishes in Denver on the 25th.

August 31 Voodoo Island Tiki Ball and Pool Party
Boulder’s Millennium Harvest House time warps back to the 1950s for this celebration of Polynesian culture complete with hula, fire dancers, and 1940s and 1950s swing and surf music. Don’t forget your suit. Tickets: $30

August 30–September 1 Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS) Festival
Jason Mraz, Keith Urban, and Journey headline this three-day music festival. Ticket prices vary.

The Ranch at Emerald Valley Debuts

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs debuted The Ranch at Emerald Valley this month. The new guest ranch in Pike National Forest can accommodate 32 people and includes meals and activities in its rates, which start at $435 per person.

Crested Butte Offers B&B/Ski Season Pass
The renovated Nordic Inn has created a ski-and-stay season pass that gives guests unlimited skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort all winter and 10 nights of bed-and-breakfast lodging at the Inn between November 20 and April 6. Cost: $1,899 per person.

DEALS
Get 15 percent off Rocky Mountain Resorts cabins and hot tub suites in Estes Park through August 31.

Filoha Meadows Reopens
Filoha Meadows Nature Preserve, with its rare population of fireflies, has reopened for the summer months. Visitors can check out this stunning stretch along the Crystal River from just after sunrise to just before sunset until September 30.

New Nonstop Flight to Steamboat
Alaska Airlines announced it will begin a new nonstop flight between Steamboat Springs and Seattle this winter. The Wednesday and Saturday flight, which runs from December 18 to March 29, delivers Seattle-ites to Steamboat at 5:25 p.m. and ferries them away at 4:50 p.m. Lock in $119 flights (each way) by purchasing your tickets before July 26.

Aspen’s Hotel Jerome for Half-Price

Stay at Aspen’s recently renovated Hotel Jerome for $249 (typically $500 a night) between October 1 and November 21 with this deal from Travelzoo.com. The fine print: The deal includes resort fees and parking but is only good for Sunday through Thursday nights and isn’t available at all October 3–5. You’ve got until Friday to purchase your vouchers.

Patagonia Gives Store Credit for Old Duds
Patagonia has expanded its Worn Wear program, which provides patrons with store credit for when they trade in their gently used Patagonia gear, to Denver. Credit can be used in the store or online, and the company expects to have collected enough clothing to open a “Worn Wear” section in the Denver store by late September.
