University of Colorado Denver’s mascot, Milo the Lynx, poses with the wonderfully dolled up dancers of the Colorado Ballet. The ballerinas will wear the same costumes pictured for their upcoming holiday production,The Nutcracker, which premieres next Friday.

The unlikely pairing came together in mutual celebration: It’s Milo’s first year as a mascot, CU Denver’s 40th anniversary, and the Colorado Ballet has been performing The Nutcracker for more than 50 years.
