If you’re a passionate wine lover but missed Frasca Food and Wine’s Istituto Per Il Vino (a four-part wine series that sold out in a week), despair not. Simply reserve a spot at the restaurant’s spectacular Monday night wine dinners, which feature hard-to-find vintages from renowned Italian winemakers and paired tasting menus.
Master sommelier and Frasca co-owner Bobby Stuckey says Monday nights are terrific opportunities to learn about Italian regional vintages directly from the source. “We have diners who drive down from Laramie just to join us every Monday night,” Stuckey says. To make the most of the evenings, he suggests reading up on the selected vineyards and regions before arriving at dinner. February’s remaining line-up includes the unoaked Frascati Superiore from the Principe Pallavicini winery and two Bordeaux-blends from Gonzaga San Leonardo on February 10th; then on February 17th, stunning white wines from famed producer Branko in the Collio region of Italy are being poured for the first time in Colorado; and February 24th features the ethereal alpine Valtellina wines of Nino Negri followed by a Braulio Amaro from neighboring Bormio.
