Justin Bieber shouldn’t be the only one getting into some good old-fashioned community service this week. Check out these four events geared towards making a difference in Denver.

Decorate: Share the love by sprucing up local seniors’ Meals on Wheels meal bags. Harken back to the days of elementary school valentine exchanges by decorating lunch sacks for the organization’s special Valentine’s Day dessert. Wed 6-8 p.m.; Central Library, Aurora.

Lights out, forks up: Change the way you look at going out to eat. Organized by the American Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired, this unique fundraiser invites guests to step into the shoes of the visually impaired for an hour with an optional blindfolded dinner. Former Bronco’s running back and TV sports anchor Reggie Rivers will serve as host and auctioneer, and singer/songwriter Karen Karsh will perform. Thu 6 p.m.; Hyatt Regency Denver.

Cocktails for a cause: For those who enjoy the occasional martini (or two), the 12th annual Shaken, Not Stirred Martini Party doubles as a mixer for young professionals and a fundraiser for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado. Hosted in the History Colorado Center, attendees can bid on Nuggets tickets, group dinners at local restaurants, and more at the silent auction. Be sure to grab a nosh from one of the seven local restaurant stations. Sat 7:30 p.m.; History Colorado Center.

Fun run: Join hundreds of other Denverites for a one-mile fun run around Civic Center Park to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation. In the spirit of the Valentine’s Day, participants are encouraged to dress down to their skivvies. Stick around for drinking and revelry at Stoney’s Bar and Grill, including a “chest hair auction,” where brave men (voluntarily) sacrifice their hirsute torsos for a good cause. Sat 12 p.m.; Stoney’s Bar and Grill.
