Known for its carefully concocted potato vodka, Basalt’s Woody Creek Distillers grows its own potatoes in Woody Creek and sources local fruit, grain, and water. Don’t forget, though, that the company offers whiskeys too, and this smoky drink is a perfect way to test one out.
2 ounces Woody Creek Distillers Rye Whiskey
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/4 ounce agave nectar
1 bar-spoon of apricot preserves
3 dashes of tobacco bitters
Add all the ingredients into a shaker. Shake and strain into a coupe glass.
