Spring is in the air, and if you’ve been inflicted with the seasonal need to get out and do something, we’ve got the prescription for your fever. Here, four ways to put that rejuvenated mind and body to good use.

Break out the bike: If you haven’t had a chance to take your trusty steed out for its first spring ride, here’s your chance. Pedaling for a Purpose, an 18-mile ride from Golden to Four Mile Historic Park , benefits the Whole Planet Foundation, an arm of Whole Foods that fights poverty by providing loans to entrepreneurs across the globe. As if you need another reason to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday morning. Sat, 8 a.m.; Clear Creek Trail, Golden.

Vote with your wallet: Put your money where your heart is, and help determine Denver’s Man and Woman of the Year. Sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, this competition pits 14 candidates against each other in a fund-raising battle to help win the war on cancer. Each dollar is a vote, but this isn’t really a field winnowed down to a single champion. Titles aside, they’re all winners in our book. Dates and locations vary.

Keep things sweet: The Buffs might be done, your bracket trashed, and that guy who made mascot-based picks is about to win the office pool (Pro tip: Always go with the color over the fake bird), but that doesn’t mean the Sweet 16 isn’t worth celebrating. The Sneaker Soiree features a watch party with food, drinks, and an auction featuring a host of banner-worthy items (GABF tickets among them). This event benefits Girls On The Run, a nonprofit that promotes an active, healthy lifestyle for girls. Thu, 6 p.m.; Casselman’s.

Strike out abuse: Spare a weekend afternoon and hit the lanes with the Colorado Divas Connect and the Mile High Women’s Outreach Center. MHWOC provides education and support to victims of sex trafficking and assault to help them rediscover the life they deserve. Sun, 2 p.m.; Celebrity Lanes.
