Father’s Day is on Sunday and you’ll want to make sure to celebrate the dad(s) in your life, since we know you probably did it big for mom(s). Here, five Father’s Day ideas outside of the norm—no ties here!—to show your thanks.

1. Father’s Day Tasting & Tour at Denver Beer Co.*

Treat your dad to five tasters and a brewery tour before snagging a seat on the outdoor patio to soak up some sun. As if the cold beer wasn’t enough reason to go, Bistro Colorado’s food truck plans to park just outside.

When: June 15, 12 p.m. to 4p.m.

Price: $15

*Editor’s note 06-13-14: This event has been cancelled.

2. City Park Jazz

Grab the lawn chairs, pack a picnic, and head to City Park to take in Ritmo Jazz Latino’s eclectic funk. The concert is on, rain or shine, so make sure to check the weather forecast before you dress. Also: It’s best to arrive early, as the lawn can fill up.

When: June 15, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Price: Free

3. Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup in Steamboat Springs

More than 400 Mustangs—Fords, not horses—will climb to Steamboat Springs for the annual event that showcases everything from pristine classics to rides with roaring horsepower. Catch the autocross or simply take in the cars (hoods up) on display for the weekend.

When: June 12 to June 15, event times vary

Price: Varies by event

4. Father’s Day Super Sunday Monster Truck Show at Colorado National Speedway

Here’s your chance to show dad some fire-breathing trucks—with names like Bigfoot, The Avenger, or Shagman—smash cars and jump obstacles. Bonus: Don’t miss the motorcycle stunt show.

When: June 15, 1 p.m.

Price: $17 adults, $10 kids ages 3 to 12

5. Father’s Day Classic in Arvada

Start Father’s Day off right with a workout. Arvada’s annual road race has both a 5k and a 10k course. You’ll burn plenty of calories to earn a Father’s Day pancake brunch.

When: June 15, 8 a.m.

Price: $35 to $45
