Fort Fun isn’t Fort Dumb, at least according to one social media website that ranked Fort Collins as the fourth-smartest midsized city in the United States.

MyLife reported last week that the city’s many perks include a high number of residents with college degrees, good public schools, a high number of libraries, low crime rates, and a relatively safe driving environment when compared to similarly-populated communities (roughly between 130,000 and 200,000 residents). There’s no mention of where breweries fell on that list. The high ranking shouldn’t be a surprise to the friendly folks up north since the city has already been lauded as a place where happy and healthy people live.

The three smartest midsized cities, according to MyLife, are Overland Park, Kansas, Glendale, California, and Cary, North Carolina. Eugene, Oregon placed fifth. Lakewood isn’t a slouch in the big-brain category, either. That city came in at 28th on the top 100 list—between Spokane, Washington and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
