The World Cup of lacrosse begins today as more than three-dozen teams from around the world descend on Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships.

This is the third time the United States has hosted the event. Team USA and Team Canada are considered favorites in the tournament—37 MLL players are on those rosters—while the Iroquois Nationals have four MLL pros.

The tournament, which will feature 142 games, runs though July 19. Tickets can be purchased here.

While the United States will certainly get attention from locals, there are more than enough countries to go around. In addition to the sport’s stalwarts, first-time competitors include China, Israel, Russia, and Uganda.
