Re:Vision’s Farm-to-Table Brunch & Silent Auction: Bag your Saturday morning plans and enjoy fresh, farm-to-table fare at Duo Restaurant instead. The event is a collaboration with Re:Vision, a local non-profit that develops backyard gardens in low-income communities and runs two urban farms in southwest Denver. Duo’s executive chef, Tyler Skrivanek, will be crafting plates that feature produce from the Ubuntu Urban Farm located in the Westwood neighborhood. For $50 a ticket, you can support Re:Vision’s incredible mission and delight your tastebuds in the process. Sat, 11 a.m.; Duo Restaurant

Emily Griffith Film Festival: Catch a flick at SIE FilmCenter to support Emily Griffith Technical College. Documentaries focusing on stories of immigrants and refugees and the strength of the human spirit will play Friday through Sunday. Tickets for opening night are pricier—but well worth it—and include an after-party with food, drinks, and a discussion panel. Prices vary, and all proceeds benefit EGTC. Bonus: The opening night film, Underwater Dreams, was featured at the Clinton Global Initiative and is considered one of the best documentaries of 2014. Fri through Sun, times vary; Sie FilmCenter

Run the Rocks: Sunday Funday should be a party. The American Lung Association‘s 5K walk/run at Red Rocks will provide live music along the course (because what would a trip to the Rocks be without a show?). Arrive early if you’re registering day-of, and stick around for the post-run celebration. There will be more than 20 vendors and sponsors, grub from Eat This food truck, and music from 97.3 KBCO. Registration is $40, but kids 12 and under are $15. Sun, 9:30 a.m.; Red Rocks Amphitheatre
