In A Sense

Wonderbound’s winter ballet is more than a feast for the eyes.

By |

All Nutcracker-ed out? Contemporary Denver ballet company Wonderbound is, too. So instead of sugarplum fairies and gingerbread soldiers, the company presents Winter (December 10 to 18 at Wonderbound Studio at Junction Box), a collaboration with musician Jesse Manley and his band. Long lauded for respecting ballet’s traditions while also updating them for the 21st century, Wonderbound artistic director Garrett Ammon plans to incorporate all five senses into an immersive experience that includes food and a scent made just for the production by Denverite Michelle Roark.
