Fashion Trend We Love: Bucket Bags

Upcoming warm-weather trends include an oldie but goodie: The ever-versatile bucket bag.

|

Fashion has been without an “It” bag for quite a while—but that all changes now. Spring 2015 (re)introduces the bucket bag.

A must-have for casual, warm-weather style (we’re thinking beyond Denver’s recent snowstorms), a bucket bag is defined by its drawstring closure and long strap that can either be slung over your shoulder or carried in-hand. The bag first achieved popularity in 1933 because of its fun, nontraditional look. Today, the accessory—which suits every style, from minimalist to full-on bohemian babe—is as fashionable in the city (choose a classic, neutral hue) as it is on a beach (try canvas fabric with a nautical stripe). Our favorite bucket bag attribute, though, is that stylish options are available at any price point.
