A Guide to Greenwood Village

In this tony southern burb, delightfully stocked shops offer everything from irresistible home accessories to gorgeous furnishings—most of which you can’t find inside city limits.

HW Home (pictured above) > A Colorado favorite, this outpost caters to its suburban clientele with larger-scale furnishings fit for growing families and fresh accessories to make any room look polished. The Landmark location benefits from high ceilings and lots of sunlight, perfect for perusing the collection of modern furniture with a global feel. On our wish list: The Padma desk (pictured) with its mosaic top and stainless steel legs. 5375 Landmark Place, Greenwood Village, 303-779-9500

Elements 5280 Gallery > This welcoming gallery dials down the intimidation factor that often comes with buying art. Owners George and Cyn Rentz create an easygoing atmosphere amid their excellent collection; highlights include works by regional plein air artists (think landscapes and wildlife scenes perfect for local collectors). 5940 S. Holly St., Greenwood Village, 303-804-5280

Tend Home and Garden > This cozy cottage of a flower shop is an ideal spot to pick up succulents and air plants in gorgeous containers. But our favorite reason to swing by Tend is the flower arrangements: In-house designers create free-flowing bouquets that are effortlessly chic. Tip: Ask for the shop’s locally grown dahlias. 5979 S. University Blvd., Greenwood Village, 303-794-4665

Homefest > Celebrated for its careful selection of luxury home goods and tableware, Homefest has a new, even lovelier space in the Orchards, where shoppers can now find Yeoward crystal and lighting from Visual Comfort. 5912 S. Holly St., Greenwood Village, 303-741-3920

Patina Antiques & Home > If you’re going for that chic-meets-shabby look, this could be your happy place. You’ll find antique hutches filled with reasonably priced ceramics; painted tables to fill the bare corners of your home; and collections of well-worn items (wooden rolling pins, anyone?). And don’t miss Patina’s sister shop, Dwell, just across the street, which stocks more vintage pieces. Patina, 5989 S. University Blvd., Greenwood Village, 303-795-0816; Dwell, 5910 S. University Blvd., Unit C12, Greenwood Village, 303-795-3454
