On Wednesday, May 27, the Aurora theater shooting defendant’s 34-page notebook was released to the public after being introduced during the fifth week of the trial. It is expected to play a big part in the jury’s decision regarding whether or not the defendant was sane or not at the time of the massacre (he has plead not guilty by reason of insanity to all 166 counts against him). The Denver Post calls the spiral-bound notebook the “theater shooting’s most critical piece of evidence.”
