Toys in denver are on the move. Early next month, History Colorado Center’s Toys of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s exhibit will pack up for Pittsburgh; and this month, the Wizard’s Chest—Cherry Creek North’s emporium of all things fun—begins its relocation to new 18,000-square-foot digs on Broadway (it will be finished in January). So what better time to take a look at the most popular playthings, past and present? We asked Shannon Voirol, History Colorado’s senior exhibit developer, and Wizard’s Chest co-owners Kevin Pohle and Brad Brickley to help us identify the most iconic toys of yesteryear and their counterparts today.
