My parents have something called the Birds With One Stone dinner. That’s when they gather a gaggle of friends—the ones they’ve been meaning to see or have over or reconnect with—and invite them to dinner. It’s one fun, raucous evening that also happens to check multiple boxes at once.

In many ways, Harvest Week, EatDenver‘s annual dinner series that celebrates the local restaurant community and Colorado’s bounty, functions in the very same way. The event presents the opportunity to experience the food and company of more than 35 participating restaurants in a single week.

Harvest Week touched off Sunday with a Praise the Lard brunch, and it continues through Friday, October 9. All of the meals take place at the GrowHaus, a seriously impressive nonprofit green house that grows produce via indoor aquaponic and hydraponic farms, in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Each evening is centered on a theme and spotlights multiple restaurants. There’s local beer, wine, and cocktails, and the ticket price for each night includes dinner and drinks. A preview of each event is below:

MONDAY Comfort Food Refined: When chefs from Vesta Dipping Grill, Mizuna, Coohills, Work & Class, Biker Jim’s, and Steuben’s pick their favorite comfort foods and then elevate them, you’ve got a feast of epic proportions. For tickets and a full menu, click here. 6–9 p.m., $70

TUESDAY Rock and Roll Vegetarian: Think vegetarian meals are boring? Not this one. Beatrice & Woodsley, Duo, New World Cheese, Biju’s Little Curry Shop, Root Down, and Rebel Restaurant team up to cook a dinner that will satisfy even the most die-hard of carnivores. For tickets and a full menu, click here. 6–9 p.m., $70

WEDNESDAY Grapes vs. Grain: Who will win the draw, Colorado wine or Colorado beer? Vine Street Pub, Jax Fish House LoDo, Ace Eat Serve, Adelita’s Cocina & Cantina, DiFranco’s Italian, and Revelry Kitchen prepare the food, while the Colorado Brewers Guild and the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology pair the beer and wine. You vote for the best combo, course by course. For tickets and a full menu, click here. 6–9 p.m., $70

THURSDAY The Feast of the Hunters & Gatherers: Calling all carnivores, this is the meat fest you’ve been waiting for. Chefs from Russell’s Smokehouse, Beast & Bottle, the Squeaky Bean, Butcher’s Bistro, Table 6, and Guard and Grace will focus their efforts on wild game and GrowHaus produce. Come hungry. For tickets and a full menu, click here. 6–9 p.m., $85

FRIDAY Footloose & Farm Fresh, The ’70s Edition Why not close out Harvest Week with a luau? The GrowHaus will morph into an oceanside oasis with Hawaiian-style eats and drinks from Rackhouse Pub, Appaloosa Grill, Masterpiece Deli, Inga’s Alpine Lounge, Lucky Pie, the Corner Office, and Glazed & Confused. For tickets and a full menu, click here. 7–10 p.m., $50

So enough of that niggling thought that there are “too many restaurants and not enough time.” Buy yourself a ticket (or multiple) and experience the camaraderie, hospitality, and food from many of Denver’s best in one fell swoop.

FYI: In an effort to keep waste as minimal as possible, bring your own plates, utensils, and glassware. (I always bring along a couple plastic bags with me to carry home the dirty dishes.)
