27th Annual Puttin’ on the Max: MaxFund, a no-kill animal shelter and adoption center in Denver, invites attendees of its 27th black tie fundraiser to dress up as their favorite movie stars. Saturday, 5:30 p.m.; The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, 321 17th St.
