1. Choose three complementary flavors of ice cream. Place three glass nesting bowls in the freezer for at least 10 minutes. Spread a half-inch layer of softened ice cream inside the largest bowl. Nest the medium bowl into the large bowl. Place back in the freezer for about 2 hours.


2. Place hot water in the medium bowl until it releases. Once removed, add a half-inch-thick layer of a different ice cream on top of the first. Nest the smallest bowl and freeze until hardened. Add hot water to the smallest bowl and remove. Fill the remaining space with a third flavor and top with wax paper. Return to freezer to harden.


3. Once hardened, fill your sink with very hot water and place the bowl in the water until the ice cream releases. Then, tap out onto a cutting board. Slice and serve.
