While 2016’s Collaboration Fest is over and done with, the synergistic beer festivities are not. To celebrate the release of its collaboration Baltic Porter, the Post Brewing Company in Lafayette and Denver’s Prost Brewing Company are throwing a happy hour Prost to Post bash this Friday evening at Prost’s tasting room.

This smooth new beer, which generated quite a bit of buzz at last Saturday’s Collaboration Fest, clocks in at a hefty 8.5 percent ABV, and carries a thick head of tan foam. It’s rich, smooth, and has a faintly sweet flavor profile similar to a fruity arabica coffee. We suggest you come for the suds but stay for the stein hoisting competition (prizes include, well, beer) and live music.

As if you needed more motivation to spend your Friday afternoon at Prost, Chef Brett Smith of the Post and GoodBird Kitchen will be on hand frying up his signature finger lickin’ chicken. For once, Denverites won’t have to make the haul out to Lafayette or Longmont to get their hands on his legendary fried bird. Cheers to that.

Friday, March 25 4–7 p.m.; Prost Brewing Company, 2540 19th St., 303-729-1175
