When you book a room at the Waldorf Astoria Park City, you know you’re going to get spoiled. But mud season (summer activities at Park City Mountain Resort begin May 27) means you may not have many reasons to visit right now. Not to worry: You can achieve the Waldorf’s indulgent comfort right in your own home. Here’s how.

Pamper Yourself

You don’t have to book an appointment if you turn your own home into a spa.

Step one: Make the hotel’s super simple vanilla–coconut–brown sugar body scrub. Mix together half a cup each of coconut oil and brown sugar with a half teaspoon of vanilla extract. Apply while in the shower to smooth your skin. If you’re more of a bath person, focus on finding the perfect scented bath salt. The Waldorf’s recommendation: Eucalyptus, for its restorative properties that ease stiff muscles and reduce pain. Have a thick bath towel and cozy slippers laid out. And make sure to apply body oil or lotion afterward; your skin will be dehydrated after a long soak in hot water.

Step two: Ask your significant other for a foot rub. (You’ll reciprocate, of course.) Buy a balm with peppermint extract to help reduce inflammation and improve blood flow. (The Waldorf Astoria Spa recommends Yoga Balm.) Use your thumbs as pressure points all over the foot; we guarantee you’ll be relaxed in no time.

Eat

No need to wait in line for that hip new brunch spot when you can make the Waldorf’s banana Nutella pancakes in your own kitchen.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1¾ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup macadamia nut, toasted and chopped
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • ½ cup Nutella

Combine flour, salt, sugar, eggs, buttermilk, butter, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. The mixture should be fairly thick. Pour small amounts onto a pre-heated griddle; add macadamia nuts to each pancake. Cook for two to three minutes on each side then remove from griddle. Garnish pancakes with bananas and Nutella.

Turn Down

Have guests? Waldorf’s staff suggests creating an amenity basket with extra linens, toothpaste, lip balm, and a couple spa products. Place it in the guest room or guest bathroom before they arrive, and leave a chocolate truffle on their pillows. Your visitors are sure to feel extra special. Another easy but luxe tip: Create an at-home water station—we all know how important it is for out-of-towners to stay hydrated—by infusing the H2O with in-season fruits and greens. For summer, use cantaloupe, strawberries, and mint leaves.
