New Season, New Fashion

Spring has sprung in the city’s most stylish boutiques. Introduce yourself to this season’s top trends during the free Spring Affair event at Rebel this Thursday, April 14 (5:30 to 9 p.m.). Guests will be treated to a fashion show starring boutique customers, and owner Robyn Bairstow and her first-rate staff will show attendees how to incorporate the looks into their everyday wardrobes. The 40-minute show starts promptly at 6:30 p.m., but head to the ‘burbs early for wine tasting and light appetizers. 5910 S. University Blvd., Greenwood Village, 720-283-1004

Ladies smitten with Mara Hoffman’s brilliantly colored, boldly patterned clothing and swimwear can view her newest collection this Saturday, April 16, when Goldyn hosts the designer’s Spring/Summer 2016 trunk show (noon to 6 p.m.; free). Inspired by the American West, prairie life, and Willie Nelson—think blue sky prints (a nod to Nelson’s song “Blue Skies”), updated vintage Levi’s with embroidered details, and cornstalk printed dresses—this collection couldn’t be more perfect for Denverites looking for a little high fashion-meets-Western mashup. Bonus: Meet guest host and local lifestyle blogger Laura Krudener of Among the Colors, and sample a smattering of her favorite signature dishes (all gluten-free, dairy-free and corn-free). 2040 W. 30th Ave., 303-903-7601

Happy Birthday, StyleTribe

Fashionistas on a budget rejoiced two years ago when StyleTribe Underground (pictured, above) opened in Wash Park. This spacious, upscale women’s consignment shop features plush furnishings and designer booty that’s almost new or, in many cases, still has the original price tags attached (score!). Clothing and accessories are neatly arranged by category and then by size. A recent visit uncovered a Saint Laurent leather Downtown carryall ($425, originally $1,495), a mauve silk and velvet Bottega Veneta dress ($195, originally $2,250, and with the tags still on), Valentino Rockstud patent leather sandals ($445, originally $995), and kicks by Golden Goose ($275, originally $605). Tucked away in a corner room at the back of the store are wardrobe basics like resale jeans and new T-shirts. If you haven’t stopped by yet, now is the perfect time: From Thursday, April 28, through Sunday, May 1, StyleTribe is hosting a storewide sale in honor of its anniversary. Everything will be 20 percent off, plus you can enter the birthday raffle to win a $200 shopping spree gift card or a turquoise Proenza Schouler satchel. Heads up: StyleTribe’s fashion truck launches the same weekend; keep an eye on the store’s website for details. 1059 S. Gaylord St., 303-722-2822

J. McLaughlin Opens in Cherry Creek North

Cherry Creek North has a new tenant: J.McLaughlin opened its doors in the tony shopping district last week. From sporty cottons and cashmere ponchos to tongue-in-cheek martini-glass-embroidered Bermudas, J.McLaughlin is known for its classic American women’s and men’s clothing and accessories. The inviting, cheerful Denver store echoes that preppy, East Coast vibe with warm neutrals and Kelly green accents. Spring highlights for her include printed cotton eyelet or linen skirts ($185 each; pictured, left), pompom trimmed shorts ($145), cotton striped tees ($115), wicker satchels ($195), and tribal print scarves ($65). Guys can pick up summer staples like pima cotton polos ($88) and half-zip sweaters ($158), Italian cotton Bermuda shorts in neutrals or brighter hues ($115), and even a sailcloth dop kit ($68) for last-minute weekend getaways. 2701 E. Third Ave., 303-209-0019
