1. High Line Canal | Your Choice

Why: This 71-mile path is about to get a makeover—with your help. Take a tour on two-wheels or by foot to make up your mind on proposed improvements or to come up with one of your own.

2. Make Music Denver | June 21

Why: It’s practically a rite of summer to spend the day jamming to music, especially when it is free.

3. Vintage Baseball Game at Bee Family Centennial Farm Museum | June 25

Why: America’s pastime played the way it was in 1864 (including vintage-style uniforms).

4. Kids 16th Annual Fishing Contest at Arvada Reservoir | June 11

Why: While this free-to-cast event is for little ones only, you can bring the whole family for a picnic and dream up a few tall tales of your kid’s biggest catch.

5. Bouldering World Cup at GoPro Mountain Games in Vail | June 10–11

Why: Watch Colorado Springs’ Megan Mascarenas, a “climbing phenom,” defend her title.

6. Breckenridge’s WAVE: Light + Water + Sound | June 2–5

Why: This is what happens when you mash-up public art and a summer festival. Brilliant.

7. Bike to Work Day | June 22

Why: Here’s hoping the weather cooperates this year for a sunny (but not too much), dry (but only for the day; we always love rain) commute on two wheels.

8. Denver Arts Festival | June 18–19

Why: A move to Conservatory Green in Northfield Stapleton will make this annual event even easier to enjoy (read: lots more parking).

9. Inside Out Starlight Movie in Castle Rock’s Festival Park | June 4

Why: Free screening of Inside Out + sunset = Joy. (Watch the movie and you’ll understand.)

10. Scandinavian Midsummer Festival | June 24–26

Why: This festival, which celebrates the summer solstice (officially on June 21, but close enough) is grand, but we’re also keen to find every excuse we can to head to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
