Food Lover’s Book Club is a bimonthly discussion of a cookbook or food-related book led by award-winning food writer Amanda M. Faison. The free gathering takes place at the Ross-Cherry Creek Library.

For December’s Food Lover’s Book Club, I’m doing something different—I’m hosting a cookie exchange. That’s right, I’ll bring cookies, you’ll bring cookies and everyone will go home with a bounty of goodies. Bake your favorite treat (gluten, gluten-free, vegan, bathed in butter…all are welcome!) and bring a dozen to share. This sweet scene will yield the ideal platform to discuss the beauty of this cherished baked good. Guest expert and cookie savant Kristy Greenwood of Highland’s Victory Love & Cookies will join me to discuss technique, recipes, and the chosen book: Dorie’s Cookies by James Beard-winning chef Dorie Greenspan.

Free, 6 p.m., Ross-Cherry Creek Branch Library, 305 Milwaukee St., 720-865-0120
