Food Lover’s Book Club is a bimonthly discussion of a cookbook or food-related book led by award-winning food writer Amanda M. Faison. The free gathering takes place at the Ross-Cherry Creek Library.

Some things never change: Tea will always go with crumpets and scones, and it will forever serve as the conduit for good conversation. But a more modern look at the timeless brew broadens its applications into the culinary. Think green tea granola, rooibos marmalade, chai applesauce, chamomile risotto, and Lapsang souchong tomato soup. That’s the kitchen journey that Steeped, a cookbook by food writer and former marketing director of Mighty Leaf Tea, Annelies Zijderveld, takes us on. Join Amanda M. Faison, the former food editor of 5280 Magazine, and local tea savant Suzanne Klein of Zanitea for a discussion of the magical, ever-unfolding world of tea. Bonus: samples.

Free, 6 p.m., Ross-Cherry Creek Branch Library, 305 Milwaukee St., 720-865-0120
