The Authors Next Door

A new website helps you find and read books by local writers.

|

You already take pride in your Colorado-brewed IPAs and your made-in-Denver Winter Session bags. Extend that regional loyalty to your nightstand with a selection from Hometown Reads. Launched in March 2016, the website makes it easier to find books by local authors. Recommended texts range from Denver romance novelist Barbara Oliverio’s Passports and Plum Blossoms: An International Romantic Comedy to Aloha, Mr. Hand: An Alternative Trip Through Education by Douglas County teacher Anthonette Klinkerman. Purchase one (or a few) and delight in the fact that you really are turning over a new leaf.
