Quality Italian, which arrived in Cherry Creek (from Midtown Manhattan) in March, isn’t really a steak house. It calls itself that, but your gaze will slide right by the menu’s lists of filet cuts and dry-aged tomahawk rib steaks toward the more exciting items: twists that co-chefs Scott Tacinelli and Angie Rito put on fresh pastas (tableside lobster rigatoni alla vodka, anyone?), shareable plates, and Italian-American apps like baked clams and garlic toast topped with sausage and onions. You shouldn’t miss the rolled lasagne for two (more like four) with pesto and filet meatballs or the Burrata cheesecake—just as you won’t miss classic steak-house trappings like wedge salads and baked potatoes.
