Drumroll, please: Denver’s latest food hall, Broadway Market, opened last week. The open-plan space—formerly home to Tony’s Market—got a spiffy update, with concrete floors, clean white walls, snaky light fixtures, colorful glass art pieces, and, of course, an overwhelming number of tasty things to eat and drink (plus a few retail shops for jewelry, funky socks, greeting cards, and the like). Here’s a quick guide to the food and booze worth seeking out.

Pizzeria Coperta

Siblings Paul and Aileen Reilly (whom you may know from Beast & Bottle and Coperta) are giving Denverites a taste of Rome at their Broadway market stall. Choose from two styles of Roman pies—a thicker, crispy-bottomed, by-the-pound “al taglio” (by the cut) version and a made-to-order thin-crust style. (You can also order from a Broadway-facing street window, so you don’t even have to go inside the market to score yourself a slice or a whole pie.)

Mother Tongue

Turkish-style döner kebab wrapped in grilled lavash is the main attraction at Daniel Asher’s (River & Woods, Acreage, Ash’Kara) stall. Get the succulent Colorado lamb version (chicken and falafel are also available) and absolutely pay the extra $1.50 to get spiced french fries tucked inside the sandwich. Also, ask for extra cucumber-dill yogurt on the side. Still hungry? You can order sides of Mother Tongue’s crisp falafel, silky hummus, and smoky baba ghanoush.

Biju’s Little Curry Shop

The third location of this locally grown curry shop features the same customizable South Indian curries—coconut, vindaloo, masala, spicy tikka—that you know and love, topped with your choice of charred carrots and greens, madras chicken, or grilled steak and served over rice, greens, or crispy, chile-lime-spiced tots; there’s also a rotating daily curry.

Royal Rooster

Formerly a lunchtime-only pop-up at Old Major, Justin Brunson has taken his fried chicken and burgers concept to a stall at Broadway Market. You can’t go wrong with its classic fried chicken sandwich or one of the double burgers, which employ local Flying B Bar Ranch grass-fed beef to delicious effect.

Misaki on Broadway

Fresh fish is the star at this new sushi spot (a sibling of Misaki at Stanley Marketplace), which has its own freestanding counter at Broadway Market. In addition to creative rolls and poke, you can also snag piping hot Japanese fried chicken “kara age” and more.

Mondo Mini

A smaller version of the Mondo Market locations at the Source and Stanley Marketplace, this version stocks fewer take-home sundries in favor of a menu of sandwiches, salads, and pasta bowls using freshly extruded Little Noodle goods. Don’t miss the epic grilled cheese, which combines whipped raclette, melty mozzarella, and crispy cheddar bits.

Maria Empanada

Lorena Cantarovici’s fantastic Argentine empanadas are a perfect grab-and-go snack. All of her classic flavors are available at this, her fifth Maria Empanada location, but there are also breakfast options stuffed with the likes of egg, potato, cheese, and chorizo, ham, or sausage.

Wonder

The Boulder-based spot offers fresh-pressed juices, smoothies (try the dessert-worthy maca pecan), and health-oriented bites including bone broth and avocado toast. Boost your drink with a hit of CBD or MCT oil.

Miette et Chocolat

Chocoholics, take heed. The second location of the Stanley Marketplace chocolatier and pastry shop delivers myriad ways to satisfy your sweet tooth, from boutique chocolate bars and truffles to macarons and sea salt chocolate chip cookies.

Broadway Market Bar

If you’re looking for cocktails and wine, this is where to go. Grab a glass of Infinite Monkey Theorem Cabernet Franc or go for a Gunfighter Old Fashioned: Golden Moon Distillery’s gunfighter rye whiskey, coffee liqueur, Strongwater cherry bitters, and Fernet Branca.

Beer Wall

Register at the counter at the main entrance for a Broadway Market credit card to gain access to a pour-your-own wall of 24 Colorado craft brews (and cider). Bonus: You can use the Broadway Market card at any of the market’s vendors and pay for everything you eat and drink in one transaction before you leave.

If you go: Broadway Market is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. 950 Broadway
