Advertising and Marketing Coordinator

5280 magazine, a successful Denver-based monthly publication, is seeking an advertising and marketing coordinator to serve the needs of the sales and marketing departments. Will work with associate publisher, marketing department, and account executives. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience working in an administrative support role. We are seeking an individual that excels in customer service, possesses a professional demeanor, and takes pride in his or her organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented and be able to multitask.

Basic computer skills required. Macintosh and Excel experience a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. You must be able to thrive in an informal, collaborative, and sometimes chaotic environment.

Editorial Internship Program

5280 offers two editorial internships programs—one with its print magazine and the other with its online publication—in the summer, fall, and spring. Both internships are very hands-on and offer lots of staff interaction.

Print Internship:
Primary responsibilities include fact-checking stories, writing shorter stories for the front-of-the-book and dining sections, contributing research to larger stories and features, and entering descriptions for the calendar and dining listings sections.

Web Internship:
Web intern responsibilities are twofold. Interns fact-check 5280.com's daily, weekly, and monthly e-newsletters as well as the site's web exclusive content and dining coverage. Additionally, web interns research and write event listings and may be involved in researching and writing for online stories.

Requirements:
Although a journalism or English degree (or working towards a degree) is preferred, it's not required. Published material or writing samples are required (college newspaper is okay). A commitment of 12 to 32 hours a week, depending on the internship, is preferred.
