Class is officially in session in Denver for Warby Parker as they pop up shop in the heart of downtown this week. The philanthropic eyewear brand has arrived as part of the Warby Parker Class Trip—a 12 city, cross-country tour over 10 months.

If you haven’t heard of Warby Parker yet, that’s just the point. Launched in 2010, by a foursome of Wharton business school grads and now based in New York City, the trendy yet affordable eyewear brand was only available online and through a handful of select showrooms—until now.

Often likened to Toms Shoes for their belief that “everyone has the right to see,” Warby Parker was an instant success story. For every pair of glasses sold, a pair is provided to someone in need around the world through their Do Good initiative (as of last week, 500,000 pairs of glasses have been distributed in 36 countries).

In October of last year, a bright yellow school bus hit the open road to introduce Warby Parker to new markets and bring the showroom experience to life—all while carrying on the literary tradition that inspired its start (the brand’s name is based on two characters—Zagg Parker and Warby Pepper—found in Beat Generation writer and poet Jack Kerouac’s personal journals).

The magic spectacle school bus—which I got a sneak preview of this past weekend—is like your favorite professor’s office with leather couches, wood paneling and shelves stocked with books, but also with rows of glasses to shop from…on wheels. It’s even complete with the token coffee mug full of pencils.

But the real reason they’re here is to help you find the perfect fitting pair of specs. A team of “cool kids” straight from Warby Parker’s NYC headquarters is on hand to offer up suggestions of which modern or funky frame to choose. Glasses start at just $95 and include prescription lenses. Remember to bring your Rx with you to order a pair on-site or take home non-prescription shades from their new summer sunwear collection. And don’t skip the photo booth to see how you really look in one of life’s most important accessories.

Board the bus: The Warby Park Class Trip will be parked on 16th and Wazee streets Wednesday to Sunday from July 16 to August 4. You can also follow their travels using the hashtag: #wpclasstrip or order online at Warbyparker.com.
