In other parts of the country, Colorado’s floods might be a distant memory, but not here, not for us. The impact of September’s torrential downpours is still top of mind as there’s near-daily news about roads being rebuilt, businesses reopening, and displaced families returning home. And there are fundraisers, lots of them, including last week’s Colorado Rising, a star-studded flood-relief benefit concert at 1stBank Center in Broomfield.

This coming Monday, November 4, there’s another fundraiser—this one benefiting Front Range farmers affected by the flood. In fact, there are two events: Come Rain or Come Shine: A Night of Food, Fun and Music in Denver, and Honor Thy Farmer Harvest Dinner in Boulder. Both events, which share sponsors, benefit Front Range Farm Relief Fund.

The Denver event, which takes place from 6–10 p.m. at Balistreri Vineyards, is headed up by Jensen Cummings from the Slotted Spoon. Participating chefs include Tyler Wiard from Elway’s, Benny Kaplan from Wafflich, Chris Cina from Breckenridge-Wynkoop, DJ Nagle from Humboldt Farm-Fish-Wine, Kurt Boucher from Rendezvous Cafe at History Colorado, Sean Boutot from Appaloosa Grill and Daniel Asher from Root Down and Linger. Waste Farmers has arranged the evening’s live entertainment.

The Honor Thy Farmer Harvest Dinner takes place at Lone Hawk Farms in Longmont. Cocktails begin at 5 p.m., with a sit-down dinner at 6 p.m. Participating chefs include Hosea Rosenberg of Blackbelly Catering, Kyle Mendenhall from the Kitchen, and chefs from Greens Point, the Med, Brasserie Ten Ten, Salt Bistro and Colterra, and more.
