March Weekend Plans: Happenings from Around the Region

The Royal Gorge Bridge reopens, Matisyahu comes to the mountains, and New Belgium sponsors another zany event at Ski Loveland.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

March 15 Royal Gorge Bridge Reopens
Colorado’s signature span reopens for limited weekend tours through June 15. The tour includes stops on the bridge as well as at Royal Rush Skycoaster and Point Sublime.

March 22 Matisyau in the Mountains
Quaint Crested Butte hosts the popular reggae rapper Matisyahu as part of its Ski Town Breakdown. You can score a spot at the concert, a night at the Grand Lodge, and a lift ticket to the resort for just $115 per person.

March 29 Loveland Scavenger Hunt
New Belgium sponsors a crazy on-mountain scavenger hunt at Ski Loveland, where teams of four spend the day scouring the mountain for clues, chasing chickens, and generally being goofy all in the name of raising money for the Alliance for a Sustainable Colorado—and having fun, of course.

March 29 Hops and Handrails
Longmont pairs beers and boards at the Hops and Handrails Beer Fest and Rail Jam. Left Hand Brewing brings a 25-foot ski ramp to its brewery, plus music, a kid zone, and, plenty of craft beer at this benefit for the Left Hand Brewing Foundation and SOS Outreach, a nonprofit that introduces underserved youth to adventure sports.

OTHER HAPPENINGS
