Alright, you’ve made your plans for Friday and Saturday nights, but what about Sunday? Tomorrow, the sleepiest day of the week gets jolted awake with Meat Matters. A host of terrific Denver chefs—Alex Figura from Lower48 Kitchen; Jennifer Jasinski and Jorel Pierce from Euclid Hall, Rioja, and Stoic & Genuine; Jonathan Power from the Populist; Nate Singer from Blackbelly Market; Justin Brunson from Old Major; and Kelly Whitaker from Basta and Cart-Driver—come together at Wurstküche to celebrate sausage and craft beer.

But there’s more to this event than five types of sausages, suds from Prost Brewing, and rubbing elbows with the city’s top chefs: This talented crew will use sausage as a means of exploring the issues surrounding modern meat production and consumption. Come ready to eat, drink, and discuss why meat matters—I’ll see you there.

The afternoon kicks off at 1 p.m. with a VIP sausage making class taught by Western Daughters and whiskey tasting led by RiNo Yacht Club. The main event runs from 2 to 6 p.m.

$40 general admission ($30 Chefs Collaborative members) and $100 VIP. Proceeds benefit Chefs Collaborative scholarship and education program.
