There’s a lot happening at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC). Last month, the 50-year-old nonprofit—the only gallery in Denver that’s wholly focused on photography—brought on Samantha Johnston as its new executive director. The organization is preparing for a January move to RiNo’s Ironton Studios. And, for the second year in a row, CPAC is gearing up for an epic fund-raiser-slash-party.
Fashion/Culture 2.0 will be held at the Turnhalle Theater in Tivoli Student Union on Saturday, October 24, from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. But this isn’t any ol’ arts event. Guests will enjoy a live, local fashion show, beer from Tivoli Brewing, and, of course, photographs—on walls and on bags in the silent auction. Tickets range from $35 general admission (one drink is gratis) to $125 for VVIP (yes, that’s two Vs), which includes a pre-event reception, front-row seats at the fashion show, a one-year CPAC membership, and more.

Look out for a grand opening exhibition in CPAC’s new space in February. In the meantime, Johnston encourages people to learn—and see—what CPAC is all about during Fashion/Culture 2.0. “It’s an affordable event. It’s at a great space. It’s an opportunity to have a great evening,” she says. Plus, “Staying at home is so boring.”
