More than 200 local doctors, their families, and their friends turned out last night for the unveiling of 5280’s 16th annual Top Doctors issue, which honors the year’s best physicians as chosen by their peers. The winners and their families were honored at Northcreek Denver.

The annual Volunteers of America Western Fantasy kickoff party took place on Tuesday, September 15. Hosted by Neiman Marcus, the event was held to honor the sponsors of the Western Fantasy Gala, which takes place on October 17. To buy tickets, click here.

 

On Wednesday night, Ella Bleu boutique in Greenwood Village hosted an exclusive shopping event to benefit the Colorado Children’s Campaign. Guests enjoyed sushi from Hapa and a fashion show styled by 5280 fashion editor Georgia Benjou.

This month’s happy hour was held at Argyll Pub in Cherry Creek North, where 5280 friends and staff enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks. Be sure to join us next month and partake in the festivities.

 

The third and final Riverfront Park fashion show took place last night. Guests enjoyed plates from Tamayo followed by an “aperitif fashion show” with designs by Tricia Hoke, and closed with Robert Rodriguez designs provided by Garbarini.

The annual Lulu’s Barkin’ BBQ took place on August 15 at the home of Jana and Fred Bartlit, owners of Lulu, the party’s canine hostess. All proceeds from the event benefited the Dumb Friends League. Guests enjoyed delicious Texas-style cooking by chef Tom Perini, dozens of auctions, and live music by Chris Isaak.

 

The annual Taste of the Nation benefit took place at Mile High Station on July 19 with the hopes of ending childhood hunger in America.

Guests enjoyed the hottest food and cocktails from local restaurants, various silent auctions, and a live auction for a tour of the Food Network Station in New York City.

Subscribers of 5280’s e-newsletter A-List Invitations enjoyed the VIP Shopping Night on Wednesday, July 15 to kick off the 39th Annual Cherry Creek North Sidewalk Sale. Guests enjoyed a fabulous cocktail party at Simply Moore Makeup Artistry, exclusive shopping before the sale’s commencement, and après shopping cocktails at miniBAR. Notable guest appearances included 5280 fashion editor Georgia Benjou as well as our favorite fashion princess, Nuclia Waste.

Down to Earth: Natural Living Fair for Mind, Body & Home was held on Saturday, June 27 at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Visitors enjoyed a healthy breakfast bar and classes throughout the day including eco-friendly gardening, composting, yoga, and t’ai chi. Many green living businesses exhibited their own natural products and services for attendees.

Every month, 5280 readers, staffers, and friends convene at Denver’s hottest venues for drink specials and tasty appetizers to celebrate life in the Mile-High City.

This month, 5280 Happy Hour was hosted by The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar below the Curtis Hotel, located on the corner of 14th and Curtis Street in downtown Denver.

5280’s Helen Jennett was there to capture the festivities.

 

On the evening of Tuesday, June 23, 5280 was on hand to celebrate the launch of the Breitling Chronomat B01 Collection. The event was hosted by Hyde Park Jewelers and the Carmelo Anthony Foundation at One Lincoln Park.

July’s Top of the Town is one of our most-loved issues. For the 13th consecutive year, 5280 editors and readers have scoured the city for Denver’s best stuff in the categories of dining, service, diversions, personalities, and shopping.

This year, we unveiled the Top of the Town issue and celebrated the magazine’s 16th anniversary in the beautiful penthouse of The Pinnacle’s Tower 1 in City Park South.

 

The 2009 Festival of Women took place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, June 20.

 

This year’s Polo for the Cure took place over the weekend. 5280 was there to capture the festivities.
