Marijuana Legalization Poised to Pass in Denver

With 92.40% percent of Denver votes counted, the initiative to legalize adult possession of up to one ounce of marijuana is headed to victory:

  • YES 53904/ 100,841 53.45%
  • NO 46937/ 100,841 46.55%
  • You can find all the Denver election results here.

Here’s the text of the intiative:

Shall the voters of the City and County of Denver adopt an amendment to the Denver Revised Municipal Code that would make legal the private use and possession of one ounce or less of marijuana for any person 21 years of age or older?

Before you cheer and light up that joint, remember state law trumps municipal ordinances, and under state law, it is still a petty offense carrying a $100 fine. It’s up to the cops which law to charge you with if you’re busted.

Also, cultivation of even one plant in Colorado without a medical marijuana permit is a felony. And remember to light up in private — public places like concert venues aren’t covered by the initiative.

This whole legalization issue is a good start in America. Doctors across not only this nation but all over the world are concluding that marijuana is about as harmless as drinking a glass of water. The connotation that has been fabricated in the minds of most everyone is this nation in regard to marijuana is implausible from many facts. Marijuana doesnt cause cancer, it actually fights cancer aging cells, it doesnt kill brain cells and it certianly doesnt cause 1/1000th of the degree of atrophy and harm that these governement funded and founded pharmacy companies that issue out these “drugs” really end up causing physically. The fact is its really the portal to trancendence and if legalized i dont even want to think about the positive and artistic enhancements that will occur through this natural world. I will stand in firm stance on this issue, because its a sad story when a person can be sent to prison here in the usa for being caught for a small amount of pot for years but yet a person can get murdered in the first degree in canada and get at the most 25 years in prison. Can you say that there might be a little extraneousness that is being weighted down on our poorly regulated governemental basin policy? It really is a good start in denver and i hope people will awaken to fact that there are thousands to different strains that exist and that making nature agaisnt the law, sounds unnatural.

So if your outside and your hiking around and a suddenly spellbound with a aromic scent off yonder, pause and take heed that even paying homage to those pretty marijuana plants that are growing under the salient beams of father sunshine, that local law states that marijuana is against the law and that even being around natural growing plants could court you being sent to a jail cell to spend a copious amount of time reflecting your next paths that you strewn in this arrestive natural world. Just remember, this law, this body, doesnt care who you are, but what kind of proceeds that will make after they arrest you can suck all your vitality out with their inept imcompentencies on seeing life as it is. Lordy be, if only these silver badged officials could arrest the manifold maker of all these little creative seeds, what a sentence he would be looking at. But we all know thats not going to happen, and well, you guessed it, those seeds are not going to stop growing either, so america take a break and look at the facts, alcohol kills more people than coccaine, heroin and meth together each year. But like i said its all about the proceeds that pay for our soldiers to sit like sitting ducks in iraq, and solve nothing. Your money is well spent, so lets put a cherry on top and delve into some electric merriment, how does a nice organic, crystally, covered bag of northern lights cross breed with afghani sound?

so just make the meth able to be possessed
