Marilyn Musgrave, the Republican who was ousted from her congressional seat in Northern Colorado, has found a new job/revenge role: directing a project that aims to knock pro-choice Dems out of Congress. Musgrave plans to “use every form of media to defeat these people who are pro-abortion,” reports Reuters.
Musgrave was mired in a vicious battle for her Fourth Congressional District seat last year, losing to Betsy Markey. Musgrave’s group, the Susan B. Anthony List, will “essentially copy techniques ” used by environmentalists to unseat her, according to the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
“I think it’s always wise to emulate success,” Musgrave says, referring to the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, which spent about $1.6 million on TV ads and grassroots organizing.
Almost snarkily, Musgrave adds, “We have taken a good look at what works and there’s no lack of humility here when we say we know what has worked in the past,” (via Politico).
