Kerry Cancels Trip to Colorado

John Kerry has canceled plans to return to Colorado this week. Reporters speculate he is giving up on us and conceding that President Bush has won the state. I don't buy it. Last-minute schedule changes reflect the candidates' assessment of their positions from both an offensive and defensive standpoint. Kerry was in Pueblo yesterday. Bush will be here Monday. New poll results show Kerry and Bush now are tied in Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Both candidates need to re-visit those states and try to surge ahead. Kerry is ahead in New Hampshire, a state Bush won in 2000 and he will return there one more time to try and cement his lead. The same holds true for Bush in New Mexico. This election is shaping up to be a horse race, one that may be won by a nose. Make sure you vote, this is one year it really will count.
