Bye Bye 15th St. Tavern

This weekend is the last hurrah for everyone's favorite downtown dive bar. The 15th St. Tavern, home to numerous punk and indie bands over the years -- good, bad, loud, and ugly -- is on its way out to make room for everyone's favorite super store. That's right, rumor has it that the whole building will become a SuperTarget to serve the city's conventioneers and commuters. So say goodbye to the last undeveloped and brilliantly seedy block in the neighborhood this Saturday, October 30, as they finish it off in proper punk rock style. We'll miss the Tavern. Despite the sticky floors, nasty bathrooms, and horrible sound, this little watering hole was home to many great bands (before they were discovered) and plenty of local characters.
