Rocky Mountain News Jumps the Gun

The polls have yet to open, but the Rocky Mountain News has already declared President Bush the winner in Colorado by 41% to 34% (depspite the fact that the latest Zogby poll has Bush barely edging Kerry 48-47 percent. ) The News also called the Senate race for Pete Coors and a Congressional race for Marilyn Musgrave. What's up? Raw Story has the details....and the image of the "results" the News inadvertantly published earlier today and then quickly removed. The paper may have been testing its online reporting page, making sure to get the glitches out. But it should have done so internally, not broadcasting results to the world. Message to Colorado voters: Go and cast your vote. This election won't be over till the fat lady sings, no matter what the pundits and papers have to say.
