Art of the City Exhibit

CultureHaus (the social club of the Denver Art Museum) throws their annual fundraising bash Saturday night at the new Walnut Foundry events center. Looks for lots of Denver's movers and shakers to be on hand to view the exhibit, mainly because they are the featured artists. CultureHaus sent out nearly 100 disposable cameras to various cool kids around town, who were instructed to go photograph the people and places that make Denver what it is. One photo from each person was selected for the "Art of the City" exhibit, and each photo will be available through a silent auction Saturday night. A few of the confirmed shutterbugs: Concert promoter Barry Fey, Colorado nature photographer John Fielder, Cherry Creek fashionista Brandis B., Tattered Cover owner Joyce Meskis, 7News anchor Anne Trujillo, KBCO morning show host Bret Saunders and evening jock Keefer, Denver Post columnists Bill Husted and Cindy Rodriguez along with fashion editor Suzanne Brown, Rocky Mountain News society writer Dahlia Weinstein, fashion designer Gabriel Conroy, and a slew of other Denverites who run the gamit from business owners to artists and event planners. Tix are $65 for CultureHaus members, $85 for non-members. Price includes a full bar, martini fountain (dangerous!), lots of food, and music by DJ Coldfacts.
